Win XP going into Standby unprovoked

First time poster, so bear with me =).

I got an e-mail from a friend of mine that his computer would go into standby mode unprovoked. This has been going on for awhile, and other than overheating, I don't know what else is causing it.

System specs:

AMD Athlon XP-1800
256 MB Crucual DDR 2100 DIMM
ASUS A7M Mobo
Sony CR-RW 32x10x40x
Panasonic 12x DVD-Read Drive.
Maxtor 40GB 7200 RPM

System is not overclocked.

Probbably something set in the power options, have him check the power options in the control panel and make sure system standby is set to never.
