===============================================================================
My desktop and new laptop running WIN XP Both RESET themselves by powering down completely then rebooting....it's like if you pushed the reset button on the computer!

This happens randomly during 8 hrs of operation for no apparent reason when using any a multitude of applications. My desktop crashes (average of 3 times a day), though, MORE than my laptop (average of 1 time a day).

Since both of my computers have different motherboards, I suspect the problem may be the WIN XP being unstable by itself OR with some active software (i.e. firewalls?), or ...hardware?........My desktop when running Win 98 on my smaller 15 GB HD does NOT reset/crash!.....it's only when running Win XP on the bigger 100 GB HD.

I'm sure I'm NOT the only person having these problems as I have 2 NEW computers and they BOTH randomly crash!!!

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE SINCERELY APPRECIATED!! Thanks in advance!! :(...........................
