Folks I am posting this now as a seperate topic because I wanted to get as many opinions on this as i could because this ADMIn NT style OS thing with multiple users in WIN XP is all new stuff for me and I noticed that the ADMIn default account has alot more resources overhead versus a user account.

Now as for creating a USER account in XP PRO and just using that account to log on, HELL....I noticed a TREMENDOUS cut down in the amount of PROCESSES run under the task manager versus those that were running when I was originally logged on as the ADMIN ( default setup )

but now my question is this......is there any way to convert my entire layout, preferences and all installed programs from my original ADMIN setup???....it seems like creating a new user almost gives you a NEW machine but I really didnt want that....I just wanted to cut out all the goopy fat overhead from the ADMIN account that I was originally running.....Also, is there a difference in system performance when running the system as the ADMIN versus running it as a regular USER?......I am primarily running the OS for games and some basic Desktop Publishing and Photoshop

any ideas folks??

thanks again!
