for example all you need in win9x was explorer and systray, then you would have ur anti-virus and firewall running and so on..
after installing XP i see bunch of stuff like svchost.exe (different usernames like local service and netowrk service ..).\
other ones i see are alg.exe spoolsv.exe lsass.exex and so on and so on.
i am NOT having any problems but just as in 9x i would like to get max performance and do not want to run programs in background that i do not use.
which ones can i get rid of? and how do i perminatly get rid of them?
and will i gain much performance or stability by doing this? (im wondering since xp will have good memory allocation feature that'll give me less problems then 9x for sure).
anyways thanx guys, have a happy new year!
