Not a question for everyone no doubt. But as XP is only new has anyone tried installing and running say the Novell Client for Win2K? I just need it to get full access at work for my laptop, and Novell has yet to release an XP client.

Just wondering if anyone has played with this so far?

Cheers

Heya!
I have installed it at work and it works ok, I would suggest you get the latest version (4.8-SP3).
It works ok, but it automatically shuts off the new login screen and replaces it with the normal Win2k style one.
Also 4.8-sp3 now works with autlogin from TweakUI, if you were to ever want to use it that is =)
XP does come with a Novell Client embedded in it, but I have not tried it.
The one in Windows 2k would only connect to 4.x servers and back, so since we run all 5.x servers it was of no use to me, you might want to try it out and see!

Thanks, I had no idea the Client Service for Netware was in the XP build, but I had a look and what do you know :)

Just an update I installed CSNW and they work fine, pretty much the network options with XP look, although the first logon screen is interesting when it doesn't let you chose context, but you just enter your normal info and then after you hit enter a new window pops up with a choice of Server, or you chose context.

I couldn't get the context to work (weird not sure why) but I just chose my preferrend server and it has now authenticated me fine. We are running NW 5.11 and it all looks good.

I may give this a shot too..

Since my work sucks and they only give me an automatic file to install the software on my machine.. hate it. Because of idiots the rest have to suffer.

But when it hits the netware client it says it's bad/not signed whatever.. maybe I'll just install everything up until that point and see if it works natively within XP.
