Win XP and Lite-On burners

Has anyone had any problems using their Lite-On 24x burner with Win XP? I use CDRWin and Nero. Just want to make sure before I buy one. Thanks.. 🙂

IWill KK266
XP Pro

Anybody here have the problem where each time you restart XP, you have to redetect the burner?

Mine posts in the bios, and works after I redetect it, but it just doesn't seem to remember that its there.

Anybody?

Yes I have all XP updates including the CDRW update. This is not a burning issue, its a device recognition issue at XP startup

rock solid.....i burn a cd in a little less than 3 min.....never a problem big or small

Ok I have tried the following...

Removing the Secondary IDE Chanel, and All CD-Rom Devices, through the Device Manager, and rebooting.
Removing the "CD Burner Update" in the Add/Remove Software of the Control Panel.

Neither of these work. Any other ideas?

At this rate I may just go back to my Plextor
