Win XP and assigned drive

I just installed Windows XP Pro, and it assigned my local drive as E. I tried the right click rename option to reassign the drive letter C, but it wouldn't let me. Anyone know how I can reassign the drive letter to C?
(yes, I am a noob when it comes to XP)
