Win update - Windows Malicious Software removal Tool?

I noticed that on Tuesday during the windows update I installed it but then afterward another one came up. I installed that as well but does anyone know why there were 2 of them in July's patch tuesday?

I don't know, but it's a reasonable guess that MS missed a piece of malware the first time around and decided that it was important enough to re-issue the removal tool with the appropriate update.

Yes that sounds like what probably happened.. i also wanted to see if others saw this as well. Did you?

Mine installed twice too. Second one installed 6 mins after the first.

Mine don't go on fully automatic, so I missed the first patch session and I probably have the updated removal tool. If I see it again I'll post again.

Yeah,but the first one was 6 Mb and the second more like 20 Mb.

I installed two today as well. No idea why though.

After doing the first round of updates, it's in my list again, however my computer doesn't look ready to install it on shutdown.
