Win TV model 400 review?

Hey all I got this old Hauppauge Win TV model 400 from a friend. It is pretty old, since on the box it says it is "Designed for Windows NT/95"

Anyways should I dare install this into my computer?

Is it worth keeping or is it going to messup my computer (incompatability issues).

Also, how good is this compared to the current ones out there?

Should I bother spending money on a Hauppauge PVR 250? Leadtek?

What I want to do with a TV card is be able to convert VHS to DVD and maybe watch some TV.

I would like Stereo and this WinTV states it has dbx-tv stereo. Does this mean it has Stereo OUTPUT?

Thanks in advance

What chip is on the card? If it's the usual Brooktree/Conexant BT848 or 878(A), then yes, there are Windows drivers, and even free software TV viewing applications.
