ever since, win95, win98, now XP this is a pain in the ***, setting the display/desktop's appearance.

(Click on display properties-->appearance->advanced....then go thru the whole list of Items eg. if i want to change the fonts.

I really am not big on the default tahoma font and always set all my items to "Arial"...looks much better.

Problem: It takes quite some time to set font-sizes etc...and one other problem is that setting a "font size" in the level above always resets everything back to defaults.

Is there no editable file or maybe even a manager program which would allow me to easilty change fonts/colors etc. systemwide without that PITA ?

thx

Unfortunately I don't know of any easy way to change all of the fonts at the same time.

The font information for the profile/scheme you are currently using is stored in hexadecimal format in the Registry at this location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Appearance\Schemes.

Most of the other display settings options (screen saver, resolution, colors, menu options, interface effects, etc) are located here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
