Win Server 2012.

thou shalt not use start menu!
D:

So you miss the Start menu, the good old Start menu? Well, if that’s the case, you’re doing it wrong.
annoyed by not having a traditional Start menu? Guess what—you don’t need it, and you will never use it. here is what you should do instead.

I'll just got ahead and throw this out there...I hate the interface, I dont want a tablet interface in a server OS. PERIOD!

i agree. i only tried the server 8 beta version but it sounds like it's the same in server 2012.
i understand the whole metro UI for the desktop and mobile sector but this should not translate into the server side of things. MS should have taken a different approach here.

I had though they left the start menu in the server version? I was sure had seen it there.
looks like we will be sticking with win7 / 2k8r2 for a while now.

bummer 🙁

they should do it like xp, have the new ui, and option to turn on classic. In this case classic is the win7

Controlpanel stuff is so much more difficult to access in Windows 8... That's stuff you need ALL THE TIME in a Server OS. It should not be difficult to access. Lack of a centralized menu system that is customizable, clear, and easy to use makes it difficult to access. Metro is neither customizable, clear, nor easy to use.

I'm not sure why MS keeps jacking with the server OS, I understand the client side but the server side should not be making such drastic changes. If 2012 still has the core feature I may move to that instead of the GUI.
