Hi Everyone,
First post, let me just say that these forums have some great people and info!

I am wondering, does anyone know if Windows Me is better at utilizing memory over 128 MB than Win 98se? I have heard that Win 98 doesn't really take advantage of RAM over 128 MB. I am currently running Win 98SE with 256 MB of RAM and I am considering upgrading to Win Me.

Thanks!

WinME is no better in that respect than 98SE. They'll use the xtra RAM but not very well. Not nearly as well as it could and SHOULD be doing.
NT has always been much much better at dealing with RAM than the 9X kernel.

Looks like ME needs more memory, than 98SE.
I had 96MB in SE and it was fine.
Tried ME - always heavy use of swap file.
Doubled memory up to 192MB - works fast now.
