Win ME video drivers

Alright, when I uninstall my det drivers, and reboot. Windows automatically installs the old drivers. Doesn't even give me a choice. I'm wondering how I can get passed this? It's really annoying. I want to tell it to use Standard VGA display drivers so I can pull my old card out and put a new one in.

I think this only happens with windows ME. I've never had this issue on my winXP box, or my win2k box... It just shows that it found new hardware, and automatically installs a driver for it. DOesn't give me any choices...

I need to know if there's some button I can hit that will enable me to decide what drivers it uses...
