Win ME problem, always do a scandisk when I start my computer... please help...

Hi, I don't know what's wrong but my comp always do a scandisk when it starts. It says improper shutdown. I am sure that I shut it down properly. So does anybody have any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance...

This is going to sound really strange but....

Next time you want to "shut-down" try this:

1) Place "boot-disk" in floppy (Win98 disk is preferred)

2) START > SHUT DOWN > RESTART

3) Then after the boot-disk grinds away, get to a DOS prompt and turn PC OFF!

4) Remove boot-disk and turn PC back on.

I solved it already... what I did was just defragment it and it was ok again... thanks for the helps..
