Win ME Connection Sharing, And Some Other Networking Q's.

I know that with windows ME you can connect two or more computers in your house using only one modem. I also understand that to do this these computers need to be networked in some way.

I was just wondering if anyone here has done this before and if so how? I assume the best way to do this would to hook an ethernet card into each computer and then connect them with those rj-45 cables.

Is there a better way of doing this if you only want to share a connection between computers?

Also, if I do connect the computers via the ethernet plan... what cards should I use? I have no prior experience with networking in this way so straight up which ethernet card is the best? I've heard linkseys.

Thanks guys.
