Right, yesterday I installed win ME

and after 15 minutes I ruined my instalation with ICQ 2000 b which afther reboot had corrupted windows. Very nice! I got into win but somehow explorer and other programs were dead. So i could not get to auto restore. So I reformated again. this all left me with some questions.

1 how can I get into safe mode with win ME?

2 is there anyway to use the restore function by booting from a windows disk ?

Thanks,,

WinME will create a restore point before every program installed using the MSI, 10 hours of system up-time, and 24 hours of real time. I found out the hard way....hehehe...

I don't think system restore is accessable through a boot disk.

You can get into safe mode the same way as you do with Win98.....hit F8 as soon as the POST is complete.

F8? ah I tried cntrl but that did not work with ME. It would be nice if it was possible to use autorestore from a boot disk
