Win ME and Mechwarrior4 Problem.

I'm having trouble installing Mechwarrior4 under WinMe.
It starts ok at the beginning, then all of suddent I either get blank(black) screen with sound only or black screen with a green line across the top of the screen.
Before WinMe I had Win98se, with which I didn't have this problem. Also it was a clean installation of WinMe I did.
All my driver's are upto date and I also tried older drivers.
About the green line across the top of the screen, doesn't it have to do with some kind of video error?
