Win MCE 2005 + Sempron + Nforce 6100 Incompatibilities?

I recently just upgrade my Windows MCE 2005 box and have run into some issues.. Here is the old setup

Mobile Athlon 800 @ 1266 (133 FSB) - Athlon 1400+ equiv
SiS based motherboard
Geforce 4MX 64 MB AGP Video
ATI eHome Wonder PCI TV tuner
512mb 2700
Nvidia Purevideo

This setup could watch TV, record and time shift no problem.

I have upgraded to the following to attempt to add HDTV support (2nd Tuner)

Sempron 2700+ (1.6ghz 256k L2) @ 2ghz 250mhz FSB
Biostar Tforce nForce 6100 Socet 754 Motherboard Single Channel onboard video
Same ATI eHome and Memory + hard drives..
new Instant HDTV tuner PCI card

Now with the new setup (latest drivers updates for MCE)
The system seems to run smooth and play AVI files in MCE, but when I go to
watch cable through the ATI card (haven't installed the HDTV card yet) Its really
jumpy and most time will quit after a few minutes saying that there was a VIDEO decoding error. I can stop the stream and restart it and sometimes it will display
the TV channels, or just go back to the error with saying Video decoding error There are files missing....

I have checked out all the BIOS settings (PCIe settings, shared video mem size, made sure I have the latest bios) etc... I tried the HDTV card and does all the same thing... I did a fresh install on a new hard drive and come up with the same thing.. Does anyone have any experience with MCE and running it on Sempron with a nForce 6100 board? This doesn't make any sense as the old setup is much slower than the new in almost every way. The only thing I can think is there is a problem with the onboard video (being single chanel memory controller in the sempron and socket 754).

As a side note. I did end up trying to run the setup with my desktop machine (Athlon 64 3200+ Venice socket 939, nforce 6100 dual chanel memory, onboard video) and everything works fine.

Not really a suggestion but thought I'd chime in because I've also been contending with live video issues on my MCE box after doing some hardware changes/upgrades. I'm starting to wonder if the media components are fragile or something...

When I get some free time I'm planning on doing a parellel install of MCE to see if I have the same issues under a new install.

I believe I have figured out the problem. The onboard video on the single channel (Socket 754) doesn't have enough bandwidth to feed the video card on the northbridge and feed the CPU at the same time to do the processing. I stuck in a PCI Geforce 4 mx video card and disabled the onboard and it fixed everything. Looks like I'll have to get a PCIe video card as both PCI slots are taken up by TV Tuners.
