Win. 98SE - Loading Drivers

I have Win. 98SE loaded on my machine. When I install a new plug n play PCI device, Windows very seldom can find a driver for it. When I insert the driver disk for the device, I get a message the driver can't be found or when it does find it and starts to laod it, it will at some point tell me to insert the Win. 98SE disc. When I do this, I get a whole host of messages telling me it can't find a variety of Win. INF files. Could this be a problem with my Win. 98SE CDROM disc or is it something else? Help, please.:disgust:
