Win 98 shortcuts happening automatically........

This is on a guy's computer here at work.

We're just a small biz so I'm tryin' to fix this for him.

PROBLEM: When he tries to browse, sometimes if he hits the "m" key it'll minimize the window.........or "r" will restore a window, etc. Just like a shortcut use, but he doesn't have to hit CTRL or ALT or SHIFT or anything. Just the key itself. He can't even type an address into the URL window if it's got an "m" or "r" or "whatever" in it 'cuz the shortcut happens.

He had some spyware & crap on his PC from browsing too liberally, but I got rid of everything I could but he still has shortcut key problems. Seems to be lessened (i.e. "m" key doesn't fuss anymore) but still there for some other keys.

Any ideas???

TIA!

Sounds like there are some keys stuck or dirty; possibly the CTRL or ALT key... could be on either the right or left side..

Clean the keyboard.. also strike the CTRL and ALT keys a little harder than you normally would to see if they'll "unstick"
