Win 98 SE Splash Screen flashes once then again.(any ideas?)

When I boot up computer I see the Win 98 splash screen flash on then off then back on again? Seems odd my computer never did that before any ideas? Everything seems to run fine though, but I have noticed latley when I try to open folders inside of folders computer takes a long time to open them. If I reboot problem goes a away for awhile. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
 
Download TweakUI and then use it to disable the splash screen on startup. Or, if you've had your system for a while, maybe it's time for a format and fresh install to clean things up.
 
happens to me too. its no biggie. u know u can change that screen right? u need to download another pic or u can make ur own. just downloading one would be much much easier tho.
