I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I've got two NT servers running in their own domains. I have established a trust relationship between the two domains that seems to be functioning properly.
A user recently received a new machine. He logs into domain A as his primary domain, and he has an account on domain B to access a user directory. In the past, this has worked fine.
When he received his new machine, he set a new password for domain A. To keep things functioning fluidly, I set his password on domain B to match the password for domain A. We tried to access his user directory on domain B from a different workstation and he was able to access everything beautifully, so I know his rights are set properly on domain B.
Now, when he tries to login to his new machine, he can see his user directory on domain B but cannot write/delete files. I know his rights are properly setup because we verified that they work on an independent machine. But for some reason, it will not work on the new machine.
The OS on his new machine is Windows 98, and he is logging into domain A as the default domain. I could sure use some advice at this point, as we're both reaching a frustration point. My only thoughts are that something's not configured right on his new machine, but I've no idea what it could be.
Thanks.....
