I want to connect a PCI board ( specifically a 3Com NIC ) to my Win 98 SE PC . If the product specs say that it supports Win ME , does this mean that it will automatically support Win 98 SE ?

Not necessarily. ME has a different driver model than 98 if I recall correctly. What 3COM model do you want to use?

Many (not all!) drivers are listed as "Windows 9x/ME", so what is on the drivers disk? You could also go to Driverguide.com and look for drivers. Or you could go to the 3com web site. Or you could Google it. Research! :)

Sorry, 98SE and ME have the EXACT driver model capabilities. You might be thinking of the WDM drivers for sound that RTM 98 and 95/95b aren't capiable. Other than the sound, any driver that works for 95 should be fine for Windows ME.

Oops, I guess WDM was introduced with 98, not ME.
