win 95 to win 2000...HELP!!!

Apoptosis

Senior member
Is there any way to revert back from a botched win 2000 upgrade back to win 95?? I know, who wants win 95, but this is an old system that is having hardware compatability issues. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I don't see you getting any replies. So FWIW.

Does W2K work at all?

I don't recall whether W2K has an uninstall or not. Did W2K offer to save your old installation?

How important is it to save what is on the HD? If you don't mind reinstalling programs, and just want to keep the data, you should have no problem just reinstalling W95.

It's a friends machine, but I would like to help her save the important data. I am going to try and save all critical files to a zip disk, then just try to uninstall and reinstall the software and see if any drivers need to be updated. Right now she can get to the desktop.
