Is it possible to download the 64-bit Win 8 ISO file on a 64-bit Win 7 computer without actually installing it? I started the updated assistant and it seemed like it was going through all the actual installation steps before I ever got to download the ISO, so I cancelled out of it. The reason I ask is because I am building a new desktop in the next few days and want to put Win 8 on it from the beginning. I would like to burn the Win 8 ISO to a DVD without installing Win 8 on my current desktop that I am replacing.

Yes, once you pay, you are offered the choice to just download or install as well. I have the ISO sitting tight til I'm ready to move to it. Won't be long.
