Win 8.1 Keyboard Fails

Just got a win 8.1 Venue 8 tablet for the wife. One of the things that annoys me is how messed up the keyboard is. You can't just tap a text input line and get it to pop up. When you hold a lower case key down, in hopes of getting an option for a capital letter, it gives you everything but a capitol. I can't see this interface being at all good for a desktop.

That is why I use a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard with my tablet. For me, on screen keyboards are for emergency use only. 🙂
 
Text box pops up on everything in metro mode.
Hit shift, just like a normal keyboard for uppercases. hit it twice for CAP lock.

I like it better than android and Apple stock. The android keyboard from the Store is better, I forget the name.
