Win 7 x64 RC and Chrome?

I've read that Chrome does not work in Win 7. A quick google search shows some work arounds for this issue but they all seem to be dated in Jan/Feb of this year. That was when the first beta was out. Just curious if anything has changed since the RC has been released?
I have a fresh install of Win7 x64 and would like Chrome but want to see if the issues have been fixed or the workarounds are still the same?

Google offcially recommends the BETA 2.0 on Win 7 X64 and discourages the work around because it kills the security of the browser. Just download the developer tool from google, select the Beta branch and Chrome will do the rest for you.
