Win 7 x64 randomly rebooting

I've been having a problem with windows 7 rebooting on me. I'm usually just surfing web and listening to music when it happens, but also does it when sitting idle. Its been happening for a while now, but I just installed a new cpu and its been happening about every day.

System:
Win 7 x64 v6.1.760
Amd Athlon 64x2 6400+ 3.2GHz
G skill F2 4gb (2gbx2)
ocz stealth stream 600watt (ocz600sxs)
gigabyte MA78GM-S2H

Sounds like ram! Did you set your ram timing and voltage? Sometimes the default settings in the bios are not right. Or you have a bad stick of ram which you can run memtest to find out
 
I had the same problem, but it was with a system I just built. It turned out to be the memory.

I was just surfing the web (using Opera 10.5) when it crashed that time, but its crashed before when I just let it sit for a couple hours with no programs running.

Haven't messed with any of the ram settings cause I would know what i'm in doing with that stuff. According to Everest they are:

okay, Since I have windows 7 64bit would I be able to take a stick of ram out and run on only one stick of 2gb just to test the memory one at a time or would it not run on 2gb of ram? Thanks guys I appreciate it
 
I've been pretty busy with a new job and haven't been able to post but here are some updates:

Ran more memory tests, came back good.
Ran in safe-mode for awhile still would reboot automatically
Removed video card/drivers, still reboots using on board video.
Swapped ram from another computer(2gb total) still reboots.

I thinking its either the motherboard, cpu, or maybe windows 7

I've updated my chipset drivers still having reboots.
I used to run an AMD Athlon X2 2400+ and would have the same problem just not as frequent maybe once every week or so, now that i've switched to the Amd Athlon 64x2 6400+ its been happening atleast once a day.

I haven't seen the exact temp when it reboots, but from what I've seen cpu temps usually are between 44-55 C. and motherboard is at 30c right now

Are there any other tests or things i can do to figure this out?

The problem isn't Windows 7. It has to be hardware. I think you've narrowed it down to the motherboard.

Random reboots is a nasty hardware problem that is pretty much unacceptable to me. Did you try another power supply?
 
Haven't tried another power supply, mostly because I don't have one that isn't being used.I guess I know where my first paycheck is going 🙂
