Win 7 Ultimate will not boot up

SAWYER

Lifer
It has been shutting down randomly here lately, and this week it will not boot up. It will power on and try to load, then it will ask if I want to do start up repair and it is never able to fix itself. Any suggestions? The only thing different I have done is a few weeks ago I added a sata 1tb hard drive as a secondary drive. I have unhooked that but still nothing. Would I get more repair options if I try booting from my Windows disc?

yeah, the disk has startup repair - which I always run 2 or 3 times just in case the fix is complicated

Do you have anything other than stock voltages/ram settings set in bios?

Is drive recognized during boot?
If so, adding drive may have messed up drive letter associations
You need to slave "bad" drive in another PC, and look at disc management from good drive to see whats going on in bad drive
You could also run HDD regenerator 2011 trial to check for bad sectors while slaved
