ok i went to far prolly.i have went too far with upgrade.
most drvs went well except for sound drivers,
any links would be nice.

Unfortunately HP does not support your notebook for Windows 7. See this page:

HP notebook series supported with Windows 7

However this XP sound driver from HP is reported to work fine with Windows 7 on the HP DV 5000:

Conexant High Definition Audio Driver

Before you install that driver make sure to install the latest UAA Bus Driver. See below:
