Hi there,
My HDD crash, and getting a replacement
I have Win7 Pro 64; which I want to install.
I know I wont able to do it, unless I have SP1 (may be AMD Drivers (ACHI))
I did little bit Google search and found out RT Se7en Lite have all the features I want to have Custom ISO to install win7.
Now I am note sure is there any better way or MS way to install it. Also I don't know is RT Se7en is legit software to use or not.
THanks
Mir

Can't you put the SATA ACHI drivers on a floppy disk?

I can
However Machine I am going to install on it, it does not have a legecy hardware (Floppy Drive etc etc)
and sure I do not want to BUY USB floppy Drive

It's Windows 7. You don't need a floppy disk, a USB flash drive is fine.

Win7 will have the achi drivers built in, but also as ViRGE said, you can copy them to a usb drive and at the hard drive selection screen there is an option to load drivers and you point to the usb drive.

In regards to slipstreaming, there is no easy way like winxp was, you have to use the Windows Automation Installation Kit (WAIK) to essentially partiality deploy win7 and install the sp and updates and drivers you want and re-capture and re-create the dvd

I have not personally used R7Lite, but you could try it

I don't think you want AMD's AHCI drivers. There's some sort of huge performance issue with them. There's a thread in the forums here about this.

Win 7 Pro 64 Orig Retail version cannot see the HDD Port.
I have to use ACHI drivers.
I do not have a option of changing the MODE of port (LapTop) with almost no option to change any thing
But USB Drive idea not bad at all
I am also trying to give a try Se7en Lite ( I am not sure if Software is legit) hee ee to try it

It's unlikely that the default Microsoft AHCI driver will not work. But as said other can be loaded from USB drive. Rather than integrating everything yourself, it would be easier and trouble-free to download a Microsoft image (verify checksum) and run Windows Update afterwards. Any same-instruction-set image can be made edition universal with "ei.cfg Removal Utility".

I've used RT Se7en Lite - Beta (Build 2.6.0) [Service Pack 1 slipstream support] and it worked great for me. I loaded my customized ISO on a 16gb USB flash drive and haven't run into any problems to date. :)

Download the microsoft USB installer. It will allow you to take your current DVD of windows and put it on a USB and install from that. It is much faster and after the utility is finished you can copy the drivers you need onto that same usb drive.\
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...usbdvd_dwnTool

It is not from a Microsoft. It is from Microsoftstore base off minnesota State.
I think it wont allow you to add files to image.
Thanks thought

7601.17514.101119-1850 is Windows 7 w/SP1 already integrated.

You wouldn't need "windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe" with the above dvd image.

The program is from Microsoft.
After you create the USB install you can add the files by copying them to the usb drive.
