Win 7: link / junction of network drive to local drive

Is it possible to create a junction (copy) of a directory that is located on a network drive on your local drive? The idea is that I work on local copy on ssd (=fast) which is then automatically "synched" with the version on the server.

That is not what a junction is. A junction would have you working against the remote copy all the time.

What you want is just file synchronization/offline files.

This. OP, use something like windows live sync (or mesh, or whatever it's called), for the folder sync feature.
