Win 7 laptop has 2 different Win 7 keys...

The Win 7 key that magic jellybean shows is not the same number as the stick on tag that is in the battery compartment of my Dell Inspiron Win 7 laptop. Any idea why this is?
 
Because the factory image has a master key that allows big oem to install and activate windows, which would be the same key in any Dell recovery media

The key on the sticker would be the key that you would use if you have to re-install windows if you lost your dell recovery media
