win 7: Is there a way to make Device Manager check for driver updates to all devices?

I am in the process of making an image which will be used for about 5 Dell E6530 laptops.

I have downloaded Dell's CAB files with all drivers, and was wondering if there is a way to make Device Manager check for updates to all drivers against the CAB file? I can manually check for drivers on each and every device, but that is a hassle.

I am aware that there are automated solutions for deploying Windows, but these laptops will be for travelling consultants, and it will be practical to give each of them an image on a DVD or USB pendrive, so they can quickly reinstall their machines.

None that I'm aware. If the drivers come with installer binaries with a silent/automatic install switch you could script that for them but that's about it. If they're technical enough to reinstall Windows why can't they just install the drivers normally too? But really, why would they need to reinstall Windows? That should be the primary thing you should look to fix.

Can you not just give them a disc or USB stick with the image and a restoration tool?
