win 7 freezes with 2 video cards

Whenever i plug in the power into 2nd video card, win 7 hangs at startup, but works fine with any single card
anybody experienced anything like this?
btw the cards are 2 bfg gtx 260
My psu is ultra x4 600W (sli certified) and my mb is Asus P5q pro turbo (yes i know it has crossfireX , but i am trying to enable sli .... just can't get past the windows startup)

This is your problem. Unlike many current motherboards that support both XFire/SLI, LGA775 chipsets only support one or the other.

there is a sli patch which enables SLI on non-sli boards and there are fox who run the same mb with sli enabled.
