There is a very specific object I want accomplished, to use dreamscene at my triple monitor resolution of 6000X1080.

As of now, the only videos available for download are 1920x1080 and lower. Unfortunately, using them stretches out the entire image on my massive desktop and makes it look terrible.

Here is a video of somebody getting a large video running, but it is 4800X900, not the proper resolution I want. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5G5rlXHFEo

I've looked into using the program Display Fusion to enable seperate videos on each monitor but ran in to too many problems.

So my request is, does anybody know how to make a cool video background at the specific resolution of 6000x1080 ? I understand the file would be massive.

It has to be able to work in Dreamscene http://www.dreamscene.org/.

I've got zero video editing skills and wouldn't even know where to start. Anybody here skilled enough to give this a try for me ? P.M. me if you can do it, and want to work out a deal for some moneyz.

it does, of course have to work.

Won't be surprised if there is nobody intersted/capable of doing this, but thought I would give it a shot by asking.

As with most imagery, you can't create something from nothing. If you raise a picture above its native resolution, it'll get pixelated. The farther you go beyond native, the worse it gets. I don't really deal with images, but it seems to me you'd want to start with a bluray rip. Edit the portion you want, then use that for your background.

Is there a specific video you want converted? Pretty much anything you pick is going to be pixelated. I could probably create something in premiere pro if you have a video source you want, but I don't think you will find much you will like.

My recommendation is find a 4k video on youtube you like and maybe we can loop a scene from those as your background.

I don't want a specific video, I want to know if it can be done at all. There are people who have obviously made them at 1080, so why can't we do one at three times that resolution ? And I'm not even expecting real video shots, but some kind of animation. If you take a look at some already available screen savers you will see what I mean.

I thought I'd give this a shot. I have a :30 looping background. It's about 575MB.

I couldn't find a codec that allowed 6000x1080, except quicktime codecs. So if you have the codecs to play quicktime animation files, I can send it to you.
