win 7 boot issues

really starting to piss me off

cant even get to safe mode

wont boot to windows setup for some reason 😱

status : 0x000000e

boot selection failed because a required device is innaccesible


I cant even get to windows setup off the 7 pro disc.

I assume my disk was hosed, burnt a new one from an ISO and still wont get into windows setup 🙁
 
swapped rama stick at a time, put in old ram I replaced last week(upgraded to 1033 from 800)

i was running a pretty mild OC, 3 ghz at just over stock volts with no wierd temp issues

obviously downclocked now, and was when this started 🙁

Try using another DVD Drive
 
not a bad idea

odd to have a hdd error and a dvd drive go at the same time, but I have a spare and its worth a shot!
 
ran a scandisk from another machine, no errors, found

new dvd drive

still no boot

locks up loading windows and windows setup 🙁

fixin to RMA this motherboard it seems like 🙁
 
safe mode for setup and windows is locking up at \win\sys32\drivers\disk.sys

im going to toss in a blank hdd and see if I can get setup to load that way
 
not to be rude or anything but ECS! you could use a new mobo anyway heheh.. I only use DFI personally as even ASUS has poor QC and have seen 100 diff dead asus mobo. You try to load a diff os?
You upgraded your ram and downclocked everything (so is it stock)? you try resetting your cmos? try just one stick of ram and installing?
 
ha yeah, the black had some good reviews and most of the options I was looking for

cleared cmos

set to default inside bios as well

tried 4 diff ram sticks in all the diff slots
