Win 2k won't recognize my hard drive

I have 250 GB Western Digital HD WD2500JB

In disk manager you see the hard drive but there is a red circle with a line on it. It says it's 128 GB and online.

Windows explorer won't access it.

The computer is a Compaq EVO pentium 4 1700Mhz 512 MB memory

BIOS recognizes it as a full 250 GB.

if its new, did you right-click the circle and initialize it for formatting?

Also, what Service Pack of Win2000 are you running.

With Windows 2000, you will need service pack 4 installed as well as a registry change for windows to see the full drive.
Registry Setting or
Maxtor Big Drive Enabler
which is easier to use if you do not like editing the registry.

Once that is set, in the Computer Manangement -> Local Disk Management, you could beable to partition the drive the full 250gb if you'd like or you can split it
