Win 2K/SP 1 integration

I want to copy the Win 2K CD to one of my HD I use for storage, apply SP1, then burn this "updated" Win 2K for future reformat, reinstall. Does anyone know if the article at the bottom of this page Win 2K SP 1 deployment is talking about the same thing? If so, has anyone done this and any pitfalls or tips? I interpret the intergrated section of this article as saying "....copy the winnt/i386 folders to a spare (or networked) drive, say E:\, then run the SP-1 ".exe" on this new folder and install the "newly integrated" Win 2K over the network? Taking it a step further, couldn't this "intergrated Win 2K" be burned back to disk for future installs? Just want to make sure I'm on the right track.
Why ?- to have the whole package ready, instead of installing Win 2K, then the SP-1, hotfixes all over again
TIA,
Mike G

Thanx for the link, just what I wanted. It's a lot clearer than the MS stuff!
For some reason my search here didn't come up with the posts although
I remember reading about this issue, that's what gave me the idea.

Thanx again,
