Win 2k question

I know that there were some serious gaming issues when this OS first came out but has Microsoft or any other company done anything to make their drivers or patches Win 2k compatable?

I am interested in using it.

Is it true this OS never crashes unlike Win Me?

Please see my post, "Windows gives me Wood!" I've never been so confident in a Microsoft OS. I've had programs crash in W2K only to be debugged by the system and removed from memory without crashing the rest of the system or weakening its integrity. A top notch product by Microshaft...er soft.
