assign the policies to specific users or groups? When I change the settings "user configuration" they get applied to all users. How to I specify that these are only for a single user or group?

not positive, but i think you have to have active directory installed so you can define a security group that includes the users that you want it to effect, then tweak the policy for that security group only.

not sure tho...i gleaned that bit of info from the help, not actually trying it out.

That's what I kinda thought. Any ideas on how to install active directory. I couldn't find it running as a service, under the install windows components, or on the Win2K CD.
