win 2k network help

I brought my win 2k laptop home from work and was going to try and exchange files with my home network. I went in and changed if from my work domain to my home workgroup. I restarted and now it still asks me to NT network password by it says that no domain is available to validate it and it will not let me into win 2k. I've tried going into safe mode but it still asks me to log in. I've verified that the password is correct. Any ideas how I can get in? TIA
 
you don't need to change the domain in network identification, leave it. Just either a. login to the local machine or b. you should still be able to login to the machine since win2k will cache your account for you.
