WIN 2K, added ata100, now floppy wont work?

Any suggestions my floppy drive keeps on displaying disk not formatted anytime i try to access a disk. I then tell it to format and it says disk not able etc.... dont work? The only thing I've changed in my system is adding the maxtor ata 100 card, have my 2 hard drive connected to it, and my zip drive, DVD, & cd-burner hooked on board, and of course the floppy too.
I have already checked the cable, bios, and instlled newest ide drivers.
any further suggestions, I don't think the floppy is broke and I really don't ever use it but still I might need it.
