win 2000 pro locked out of administrator options

I recently installed the os for my personal desktop. Trying to increase internet speed somewhere along the line I gave some of my power to an unknown administrator. I don't recall using a password. Been trying to fix it for three days.

I can't download or change user settings.

This can't be an unusual problem. I'm really not that dumb.

I found the problem. I hadn't set a password for administrator. Piece of cake.
