Win 2000 + Msconfig ???

Is there a msconfig in windows 2000 ? Got to be able to shut down some of this crap that starts up at boot..

No there isn't one that comes with 2000. However the XP MSconfig will work on a 2K system. If you look on the net you will find it for download.

Try StartupCPL or Startup Cop

Both work great on W2K

Windows 2000 Optimiser also does this... and it will do lots of other neat things so you system will run at it's best! I got it from an FTP server... I can't find it on the net.... have a look around and you will come across it. It is avaliable as a demo... But I am sure you will figure it out.

Just copy the msconfig.exe file from win98 in c:/winnt/system .It will work.At first you'll receive an errror click ok 4 times .
