Win 2000 cant see disk array so cant install

I have a DFI Lanparty with 2 Raptors in a mirror raid array. The disks are shown in the BIOS and are enabled in the raid section of same. They have been correctly setup with the raid install section and are reported as a healthy mirror when booting up the machine. The Win 2000s Cd boots up and I press F6 and install the drivers from the floppy as requested. Win 2000 continues to install upto the point it says press enter to install Windows 2000 at this point I get the message that it cannot find the hard drives. Note that I have a raid 5 array on the Silicon Image controller and I can get it to see those disks, but they are for files not the operating system.

Anyone any ideas this upgrade has been doing my head in.

Thanks in advance

Sorry but also posted in General Hardware as well, getting desperate.
