I have installed the drivers for the Raid card and my system runs fine.
I hook up a Quantum Fireball ST 4.6GB and start my computer. Everything is fine. the hard drive is detected buy the cards BIOS and By Win 2000. No problom.
I shut down the system and remove the small drive. Connect A Maxtor 40GB 6E040L0 7200RPM Drive and reboot. The Raid BIOS detects the drive. windows starts. SiICfg writes to the log file:

The secondary master on adapter 0, Maxtor 6E040L0, was removed.
The drive dos not show up in the MMC Disk Manegment.
I shut down and unplug the drive and put the Quantum Fireball ST 4.6GB in again and restart. Everything works.
I change it back to the Maxtor 6E040L0 and change the drive to CS. The Raid BIOS detects the drive. windows starts. SiICfg writes to the log file:

The secondary master on adapter 0, Maxtor 6E040L0, was removed.
I shut down and remove the drive and place an IBM-DPTA-372050 20 GB drive in its place. I restart. The drive is detected buy the Raid BIOS. windows starts. SiICfg writes to the log file:

The primary master on adapter 0, IBM-DPTA-372050, was removed.
I change the drive to cable select and get the same thing.
I try a MAXTOR 6L020J1-

The primary master on adapter 0, MAXTOR 6L020J1, was removed.
I put the Quantum Fireball ST 4.6GB in and every thing is normal. What's uh the deal.
