Win 2000 and ATA-100?

This may seem stupid to y'all...but here goes.

I've just moved to Win2k from Win98se. I've got a Quantum AS 30 gig on my Promise ATA-100 controller (DVD and CDR on mobo). Under Win98 I got Sandra scores of 23,000 or so, now I get a measly 11,000, not even ATA-66 speeds. What's up? And a better question, perhaps, is how do I fix it? I thought that the Promise controller fooled W2k by saying it was SCSI, which let it do ATA100. I've got the highpoint 1.03b drivers and VIA 4.28 running, if that matters.

If someone could provide me with (gasp) a step by step guide to getting this to run ATA-100, it would be much appreciated.

My system specs:
Duron 750 @ 975 (150x6.5)
KT7a-RAID
128 mb Kingmax
8x DVD on mobo M1
8x4x32 CDR on mobo M2
Quantum AS 30gig on Promise M1
AIW Radeon
etc. etc. etc.

Please help an idiot!
