Win 11 24H2 is available.

Does 24H2 AMD performance boost apply to all Ryzen Zen CPU's or just Zen 5?
I've been reading this on several sites. "This update, which may be released as soon as October, will also improve performance on AMD's Zen 3 and Zen 4 chips, according to the chip maker (Zen 4 chips include its Ryzen 7000 series; Zen 3 consists of over a dozen Ryzen 5000 series chips as well as a slew of other embedded and server CPU models).
How much of a boost??
I have a Zen 3 Ryzen 5 5600X desktop I just upgraded to 24H2. I could have run a benchmark like Cinebench before and after. Not sure though if that would have told me if there is an improvement.

The 24H2 update has some bugs. So far I have only come across this one on my desktop and laptop when doing a disk cleanup. No matter how many times you do it, it reports incorrectly that there is still files left when there is not.

Download PC manager from Microsoft. Give that a shot. It does the same thing and has a deep cleanup feature.
Thanks, I tried that but the 8.63 GB is still there, actually not there. It's a glitch in the 24H2 update. From Microsoft, "Next Steps: We are working on a resolution and will provide more information when it is available."

Did you try the deep clean option?

The Disk Cleanup bug has been fixed with the KB5044384 update. I installed the update today before I ran a Disk Cleanup.

On another subject, I installed the 24H2 update on my HTPC which has a AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU. I ran Cinebench CPU single and multi-core benchmarks before and after the update. No improvements, same scores.
