AFAIK, Kodi can't view/record DRM channels, only WMC can do that, and the new PVR from SiliconDust, but, that isn't working for that either at this point in time.Yes 10 did drop WMC support but there are third party programs like Kodi that can do the same thing. I guess it really depends on your preferences. If you are used to using WMC then switching to a new program might be difficult.

I see, thanks for noting. Personally, I don't use these things. Still have a remote control unit from Windows XP MCE 2005 though, used it a couple of times. Not for me.Almost.....
They don't have copy protected channels working with the hack yet, and a lot of people report problems getting extenders to work.
Support for older tuners is very iffy.
What are the requirements for Media Portal?
Why do you think it's a better solution than, say, Kodi?
